Birth control prevents a birth
Safe from dangers on this earth

No chance of immortal child abuse
Of not witnessing Jesus to the youth

No chance to miss rebirth
Before old age exit from this earth

The Revelation to John

Wherever there are Christians
Tired, burdened in persecution and pain.

Yearning like John to be present with Jesus and
To hear him say, "My beloved I am with you."

For first century Christians and all Christians to follow
Came the Revelation to John from God.

John understood this simple revelation.
Victory in the Lord Jesus Christ!

The signs are clear. The second coming is near.
Each generation interprets the signs and expects theirs is the time.

Each generation experiences the urgency,
Feels the hope and claims the victory.

Wherever there are Christians
Keep looking up. Never give up.

Quick Prayer

Have you ever been where
Christians are gathered together ?

Sometimes it is a worship service,
Bible study or business meeting,

Maybe a group for ministry, witness preparation,
Choir practice, church meal or social event

A sports event, lawn or building clean up
Even a prayer meeting

Where is it written
Let us open with a Quick Prayer?

Why must we inform our fellow Christians
That our conversation with God will be Quick?

I have done it and you may have also, but
Who is in charge - God or me?

God be nimble
God be quick
God jump over the candle stick

Instead, might we say
Let us go to the Father
Let us petition
Let us intercede
Let us praise

Let us Pray

Abundant Life

Jesus came that I might have life
And have life more abundantly.

He did not come for me to have possessions,
Body beautiful, charm, fame or self-esteem.

So what is this life that Jesus came
To give me incrementally to abundance?

Life spiritually is faith.
Abundant life is abundant faith.

There is no faith without Christ
And there is no abundant life.

Faith is to spirit as
Meaning is to intellect.

I have faith in Christ therefore,
I am spiritually alive.

As my faith continues to increase,
My life becomes more spiritually abundant.

Jesus came that I might have life

And have life more abundantly.

The Trinity of Man

Body Spirit Soul

God formed man from the earth
He used existing material - dirt
Thus began the Body of man

Earth man
Physical man
Carnal man
Animal man
Dying man

God continued His plan
To make a man
Eternal man
He breathed His eternal spirit
Into the earthly animal man
Thus began immortal Spiritual man
His existence never to end

Animal man met spiritual man
Temporal met eternal and in that place
Thus began the Soul of man
Executive of the being
Intellectual man
Personality man
Free will man
Learning man
Emotional man

God's Will

Searching for God's will
Is like searching for your head.

Just reach up and grab it.

Only my will makes his will elusive.

One Rule Garden Simplicity

God gave man only one rule.
Do all else your body, spirit or mind desires.
No acts are immoral or desires impure.
Only keep one rule.

Do not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
God said it and man and woman had no desire to ask, Why?

Then woman met Satan in the garden.
He used the line he used to deceive the angels.
You too can be like God. Esteem yourself.

Disobey the one rule.
Eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

And when the woman chose,
She chose to esteem herself.

And when man saw what she had done.
He chose the same. Self-Esteem.

It was then that they felt so Self-conscious.
Man and woman wanted to hide.
They had become inadequate and naked.

Now sin is more complicated than the one rule.
Yes, man and woman are still inadequate and naked,
But in their knowledge they are always asking - Why?

And Satan, His is the same old story. Self -Esteem

In volatile times even the
Smallest spark is offensive.

Heaven is not Utopia

Utopia - Man is at the center
An imaginary place where
All man's desires are fulfilled

Heaven - God is at the center
A real place where all
His perfect desires are fullfilled

In Heaven, God sets the agenda
In Heaven, God sets the schedule
In Heaven God assignes the tasks

Utopia is an aberration of the will
Heaven is an abdication of the will

Blessing God

And God said, " Thank you for the blessings."
Hey God, that is my line.

Did I really bless God? Cool.
Ok, Luke 24:53...blessing God.
And Rev 7:12...Blessing...unto our God...
It is possible.

Do I seek to bless God
Or, do I seek God's blessings?

It is more blessed to give
So, why expect reciprocity?

Uplifted hands

Compassionate eyes
Witnessing lips

Is Revival to Simple to Do?

Peter preached at pentecost-
The power to love.

Accept the vive of salvation - God's love.
Then give God's love to others - Revive.

When we make good things
Happen to others, we love.
The number and magnitude of
The good things we do
Measures how much we love.

What good things
Do I make happen for
My God and church
My Spouse and children
My friends and neighbors
My community and world
My enemies?

If I love you,
I rejoice in your good fortune
I seek ways to make good things happen to you
I say good things about you
I sacrifice to you with no thought of return.

Revival is never giving to get,
Manipulation, show or pride.
We are revived when we are
Engrossed in giving God's love.

When I say I love you
Know my love by my servitude -
The good things I do for you.

Great revivals are simply,
Great selfless acts of giving
By individual ambassadors
As part of the local church
In the body of Christ.

The trip is not easy
It was not ment to be

But, the road is wide
And goes far away

We climb and slide
And coast very little

We move to the right
We move to the left
We move to the middle

We travel with groups, in pairs
And sometimes alone

Woman and man moves fast then slow
Not thinking how far the road will go

Then the road narrows
And there is no place to stand

A New Holy Day

We need a new holy day that looks to the future and celebrates the 2nd coming of Christ. Present holidays are associated with pagan days or commercialized leaving Christ out of the picture. A holy day that celebrates the 2nd coming but reflects on the past events of Christ in the Bible would be specifically Christian.

Who but Christians would celebrate the glorious day of the 2nd coming of Christ. Maybe the last day of the year, December 31, would be appropiate since we are in the last days. Celebrate before New Years Eve which ends the year. The state does not have to bless this holiday. Christians just need to rejoice in celebration of the future return of Christ.

This holiday could also add to a world wide evangelism awareness. Get ready. He will return. Never give up; Keep looking up.

A John Deere tractor and a Chevy truck
Texas sun and Texas dirt

Plow the ground and break it up.
By the moonlight continue to toil
Popping Johnny breaking soil.

Study it, analyze it,
Fertilize it, lime it,

Plant in it, cultivate it,
Harrow it and till it,

Terrace it, irrigate it,
Conserve it and smell it,

Mortage it, Will it,
Real Estate deal it.

Live in it, grow in it,
Get old and die in it.

All You See is Desert

To Poem or Not to Poem

Does poetry exist apart from linguistics

a simple word game of the imagination

a justaposition of syllables

a ganglia connection

a cerebral echo rhyme

a meter measurement that only exist in time

a picture without the object

a feeling outside the heart

a thought bound up in words

a feeble thrust to be.

Is man only words and nothing more

Or has the Poet Laureate outside of time

made man His greatest rhyme.
